About Veault
Veault is a Norwegian/Dutch startup that has developed a digital vault to simplify settling a digital legacy after death. What sets Veault apart from other cloud solutions is zero-knowledge encryption: data is encrypted directly on the user's device, with a password that is never recorded anywhere by Veault. This makes it virtually impossible for malicious actors to access the vault without the password.
To ensure that loved ones can eventually gain access, the user designates one or more trusted contacts without sharing their own password. The trusted contacts each receive their own access document with a secret key, which allows them to open the vault after a preset waiting period or verification following the owner's passing.
Veault is fully GDPR-compliant, hosted on servers within the European Union, and offers flexible options: a monthly subscription or a one-time payment for lifetime access.
