Cookie Policy
Last updated August 6, 2026
At Veault, we use cookies to ensure our website functions properly, gain insight into site usage, and improve our marketing campaigns. In this policy, we explain which cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. For marketing purposes, in addition to cookies, we also use similar browser storage (such as local storage); this policy treats both in the same way. They help us to:
- Ensure the website functions properly from a technical standpoint
- Gain insight into how visitors use the site
- Show relevant advertisements on other platforms (such as Google)
2. Which cookies do we use?
We distinguish three categories:
2.1. Necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. For example, they remember your language preference or whether you have already given consent for cookies. You cannot disable these cookies.
2.2. Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies)
To measure usage of our site, we use Vemetric. This is deliberately not a cookie-based tool:
- IP addresses are anonymized
- No personal data is shared with third parties
- Everything remains within the GDPR framework
Because no cookies or similar storage are used for this, no consent is required for this analysis, and it is always enabled.
2.3. Marketing cookies and storage (only with consent)
If you arrive at our website via an advertisement (such as from Google), we store — only with your consent — a click ID (such as a GCLID) in your browser, in cookies and/or similar browser storage such as local storage. If you then register for Veault, we use this to measure that the registration resulted from the ad, and we share the click ID and anonymized/hashed data with Google for conversion tracking. If you do not give consent, nothing is stored for this purpose and no measurement takes place.
3. Managing cookies
On your first visit to our site, we ask for your consent via a cookie banner. Our necessary functionality is always enabled, as is our privacy-friendly analytics (Vemetric), because it uses no cookies and requires no consent. You decide whether you also:
- Allow necessary functionality only, or
- Also allow marketing cookies and storage (see 2.3)
You can always adjust your preference later via the cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
4. How long are cookies stored?
This varies per cookie:
- Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser
- Persistent cookies and similar browser storage remain active for a specific period (up to 12 months), unless you delete them yourself
5. Want to know more?
If you have questions about how we use cookies or would like to view or delete your data, send us a message at contact@veault.com.
